THE FIRST STEP
Mr S. Kishore Babu, a technocrat and entrepreneur experienced in the power sector, founded the company in 1999, marking the advent of Power Mech Projects Limited! It set foot in the power sector with a modest business, undertaking overhauling and maintenance of gas turbines for Tata at Trombay, history in the making.
GAINING TRUST
Within three years, Power Mech could gain experience and generate trust with reputed clients and the first ETC project, 1X63 TPH and 2X165 TPH (AFBC) boilers were executed for BHEL, India’s pioneering power major. It was immediately followed by yet other units 21 MW and 55 MW units again for BHEL at Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. It paved way for the takeoff effect in ETC of generating units in all forms of fuels in the next two decades.
GROWING STRONGER
The Company entered into what was going to be a trendsetter in power industry, Annual Maintenance of power plants! Power Mech entered in to annual maintenance contract for 655 MW Pahuthan power station with Combined Cycle Dual Fuel generating units. Today the company caters to the AMC needs of power plants with generating capacity of over 58,000 MW.
EXPANDING HORIZONS
Started manufacturing unit operation at Noida.
Successfully executed major overseas projects of 2640 MW Shuqaiq SSPP, KSA & 360 MW Bheramara CCPP, Bangladesh.
Entry into Oman, Bahrain and Nigeria First O&M project in Public Sector, 2 x 600 MW, Singareni Collieries.
Strategic foray into Railway, RVNL composite package (37 Km, AP) & Rural Electrification, 33/11 KV Hoshangabad, MPMKVVCL.
